15 years ago CEO & Creator, Carol Polifrone stood over a large pot of boiling ingredients. Her two little girls tugged at her skirt begging for a taste of the smell that filled the air in their home. Substituting the ingredients she had on hand, Carol stirred and blended her own version of the fancy recipe she attempted to follow. Nervous about feeding her company, Carol kept trying, adding spices, and oils until the taste fit her palette just right. Marinating a pork loin in the newly invented concoction, she nervously plated the food and served her company. Silence fell over the room as she grew more tense with anticipation of their critique.

“What is this?” shouted her neighbor.  “I MUST have the recipe! It is so delectable!”

Carol hesitated thinking that there is no recipe; she simply made it up as she went along, so from her neighbors mouth came the name of her famous concoction. “What Good Meat!” From there Carol knew that this would be her claim to cooking fame, her secret recipe that would have her guests begging for more.
